About Zasteroid

Zasteroid is a 2D top-down space shooter where you pilot a starship through endless waves of enemies, including meteors and distinctive foes like fast interceptors and tough tanks. Your ship automatically fires, so your focus is on maneuvering to dodge attacks, collect experience crystals, and level up. Each level-up lets you choose from various upgrade cards that change your ship’s abilities, making each run unique. Defeating enemies rewards coins that carry over between runs and can be used to unlock new ships and permanent upgrades in the Hangar. Boss battles occur every five waves, challenging you to survive as long as possible while using strategy and quick reflexes. Overall, Zasteroid blends roguelike progression with classic arcade shooting in a fast-paced sci-fi setting.

How to Play

Controls

* Desktop: Move the mouse — your ship follows the cursor. Use WASD or arrow keys as an alternative. Press Esc to pause.
* Mobile: Drag your finger anywhere on screen — the ship follows your touch. Tap the pause button (top-right) to pause.
* Your ship auto-fires constantly — you never need to press a shoot button. Just focus on dodging and positioning.

Objective
Survive endless waves of enemies and beat the boss that appears every fifth wave. Each destroyed enemy drops XP crystals. Fill the XP bar to level up.

Leveling & Upgrades
When you level up, the game slows down and shows three random upgrade cards. Pick one to shape your build — more bullets, piercing shots, shields, homing missiles, speed boosts, magnet range, and more. Each run plays differently thanks to the upgrades you choose.

Coins & Hangar
Enemies drop coins. Coins are permanent — you keep them even when you die. Spend them in the Hangar to unlock new ships (each with unique stats) and buy permanent upgrades like extra hull, engine tuning, and weapon calibration.


Tips

* Keep moving — standing still gets you hit.
* Prioritize survival upgrades early, then scale up your offense.
* Bosses appear every 5 waves — save your Super Weapon for them.
* Complete the wave objective (shown on screen) for bonus coins.
