About Hot Barrel Cats

Hot Barrel Cats combines tower defense and merging strategy as you manage a lineup of firing cats defending your gate from waves of fungal enemies called the Mildews. Only cats positioned on the wall shoot, but continuous firing causes them to overheat and jam, requiring cooldown time before they can resume attacking. To keep the defense strong, you’ll merge matching cats to create higher-tier fighters, which resets their heat and boosts their power. Each level challenges you to balance deploying fresh cats, cooling overheated ones, and preventing the Mildews from breaking through. With multiple enemy types, bosses that disrupt your heat management, and upgrades to enhance your defense, the game offers a tactical twist on arcade-style gameplay focused on careful resource and heat control. Expect a mix of fast-paced action and thoughtful planning in this unique cat-themed defense challenge.

How to Play

Drag a cat onto a matching cat to merge them into the next tier. The merged cat starts completely cool.

Drag a hot cat down to the spawn zone to cool it, and drag a cool one up to the wall to fire. You can also tap a cat to select it, then tap where it should go.

Only cats on the wall shoot. The bar under each cat is its burn time — when it runs out the cat jams, stops firing and has to cool before it works again.

Call a cat with the button at the bottom; gold comes from every Mildew you kill.

Don't let them reach the gate. When the gate falls, the level is over.
